This is my last week in my beloved house

I am a little sad, as I stated before, we are both transferred to a new location in Ottawa.  So I have to say goodbye to my house, my friends and so on....
However.... An old military tradition is that friends who have not seen each other for long periods of time never question their friendship. These friends resume at the same time they left off regardless of distance and time between them. I am very blessed to have quite of few of these kind of friends..... I call them.....my family.
Now Off to a New beginning, a new house and hopefully new friends....

Last week end, my friend Katrina hosted another " I am so mad at Nathalie and Lisa for leaving" stamping day...  What a wonderful day!!!  We had strawberry muffins, Holiday chicken, homemade strawberry ice cream, strawberry short cakes....YUM.....
 Oh and of course we worked on some of our projects.

I chose to work on all of the cards from Heather Summer class that I had missed.
They turned out so nice.... What do you think?

I am also saying good bye to the beautiful stamp room that my creative husband built for me....

A big Move

Well,
It's been a while... It feels like I have dropped off the globe.... well not quite... but I have been away... the military does that sometimes... they send you places that you don't really want to go to....
I have had to take an advance paramedic course out East... but prior to that I went on my very first vacation... the very first one where I did not have to take any green stuff or any weapons...I went to Jamaica

What a blast... I really needed that to recharge and face what is coming my way... first the course, then a transfer.... we are moving to Ottawa....
I have to uproot everything and start over...  I am somewhat excited... so Since February I have not done anything much in stampin up...
But I did manage to go to Caroline Lebel "Stampin Palooza " event in Toronto, where I met with some of my team members.  I had the most relaxing day in this very stressful time.  I got some Art therapy.

I leave you with a "Good bye, Stay safe" cards that I have made for one of my dearest friend whom deployed a couple of weeks ago.  it is made with a retired stamp set called "Godspeed" for the sentiment I used the set "Service and Sacrifice"

Well... My Darling.... what can I say.... everyone is entitle to their opinions....I believe in freedom of expression... but seriously.... I personally think that Squidly77sucks...   "it's safe to assume that each one of these pieces of mail was written late at night a few minutes after the author had taken a shit in his or hers adult diaper, and after he/she hit the SEND button he/she went merrily back to picking the lint out of his belly button and then feeding it to his fish."

Give me a break!!! Have you ever spent time overseas outside of your warm little house caring for people that really need your help?? have you ever held a little baby that nobody wanted because she was a girl?? Have you ever laid your life on the line for something that you believe is right.... have you ever left your family behind for a cause that you  believe in.... How many friends have you lost in the past few years??? 

I personally think that you should change your name to squidly77 YOU SUCK.

going thru a little bit of a hard time

My husband is gone on tasking...again... so I am on my own....again
I am used to it... but this time...I am finding it a little harder than usual.

My creativity is at it's lowest...hopefully I will sort myself out by this weekend.

On an happy note... I have booked a trip to Jamaica with my girlfriend.... this is my first trip non work related and... I actually have to pay to go there... : )

Invitation cards....

Well.... lots is hapenning as per usual...

Catherine is soon turning 4...where does the time go??  She wanted to help with the invitations.... of course.  How can a sweet little girl resist tape, flower and especially the glitter. She made me do every single card with a friend in mind...." no flowers on this one it's for William... he does not like girlie stuff"

So if the design seems crooked.... well .... it is.... Catherine helped with everything...

I used the "build a bear,Beary best friend for this and well I typed and printed the inside of the card on whisper white... I gave up after a while and went the easy way.... crafting with a soon to be 4 years old is ..... lots of fun.... but a tad challenging...
